    What is scan data?

    Scan data refers to the reporting of sales for tobacco and tobacco-like products. By enrolling in a scan data program, retailers will have the opportunity to offer discounts and receive rebates from tobacco manufacturers.

    For example, customers could save $1 when purchasing two packs of these products. All sales and discounts are reported and recorded in a Scan Data file.

     

    How do I get started?

    • Get in contact with Altria - Call 844-230-3454 and select option 1

    • Complete the Digital Trade Program Agreement and sign up for Tier 3 (represented as D3 on the agreement)

  • Use Skupos for Scan Data

    First time getting started with scan data?
    • Call Skupos at 800-559-1358
      • Provide your Altria Account Number (RCN) and Shell Site ID.

    Already providing scan data with a different provider?

    • You will need to switch to Skupos for providing scan data
    • Call IRI at 844-230-3545
      • Let them know that you are switching Scan Data providers to Skupos
  • Update your Altria Digital Trade Program Agreement to D3

    You will need to update your Altria Digital Trade Program (DTP) Agreement to Tier 3 (represented as D3 on the agreement).

     

    How do I do that?

    • Get in contact with your Altria Rep
    • If you do not have a Altria Rep, call 844-230-3454 and select option 1

    Need more information on Altria’s Digital Trade Program’s Tier options?

    • What is Tier 1?
      Tier 1 refers to the portion of Altria's Digital Trade Program that allows retailers to submit their scan data to receive multi-unit and loyalty fund allowance (i.e. Scan Data and Tobacco Loyalty).
    • What is Tier 2?
      Tier 2 refers to a portion of the Altria Digital Trade Program that allows retailers to offer their customers additional discounts on products via presentation of digital coupons. These coupons are available to the end consumer through the Fuel Rewards app.
    • What is Tier 3?
      Tier 3 refers to the portion of the Altria Digital Trade Program that allows retailers to present loyalty offers in-app behind Electronic Age & Identity Verification (EAIV) technology, and qualify for additional incentives from the manufacturers.
